Freshly Squeezed Milk Anyone?

This morning, Ethan didn't want to nurse. Guess he's getting used to the bottle as he doesn't need to work as hard to get the milk. Damm!! (I have been giving him expressed breastmilk so as to determine the quantity he drinks see)

Since I had to pump out the milk anyway, I thot I might as well make him wait & give him freshly squeezed milk. In order to speed up & knowing that he wasn't that hungry, I offered him only 50ml to start with.

Scene 1: Mil feeding Ethan in the hall. Michelle pumping in the room, revealing both "T@#".

Scene 2: Michelle over-hears that Ethan has finished the 50ml, she shouted "does he want anymore?"

Scene 3: Mil: "mommy asks if you want anymore...do you? I duno leh"

Scene 4: Brian: "seems like, let's give him a bit more" - Brian then runs to the room & collected some more freshly pumped out milk from mommy. He laughs & says "Wow, honey like milk factory"

R-i-g-h-t.... maybe I should get myself a door hanger that reads 'cow milking in process'

I Miss 爷爷

Its amazing how babies can remember the faces they see everyday, even if only for a short period of time. Brian's dad came to Sydney to spend X'mas & New Year's with us and returned to Singapore just earlier last week. Everyday whilst here, he'd play with Ethan after each feeding, talking to him, reading to him "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc.

The latter was Ethan's favourite as he'd listen attentively to 爷爷 & watch his fingers move. Once he's reached 10, he'd give 爷爷 a big smile. This happens everyday, so much so that when Brain's dad went back, it was obvious that little Ethan boy missed him....very much. How do we know? Coz the very next day when 爷爷 was not around, after each feed, Ethan got very upset during playtime. At first we couldn't figure out why, so I thot I'd do what his 爷爷 did and it worked! Ethan smiled again, but not as bright a smile as he gave 爷爷.

Next day when my Fil called, we placed the phone next to Ethan while his 爷爷 read to him again "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10". This was the bewildered look on his face. Priceless.

From little Ethan Boy " I miss you 爷爷. See you next month!"

• Most of all...she is the Queen of heart - melter (we had a friend from Indonesia, a 15 yr old gal who has a phobia of cats & dogs since she was 5. At the beginning she freaks (& i mean freeeak) out whenever Dixie is around, and we even had to lock Dixie in the room when she comes over for dinner. After just 1 week, she now dares to even stroke Dixie!!)

Ps. The tiara is a gift from Jeremy all the way from US. He saw Dixie's picture and fell in love with her straight away - no surprise at all....wait till he sees her in Feb! But sorry Jeremy, she doesn't like to wear it :(
